DescriptionOur client is adding to their team and is in need of an experienced professional structural engineer with leadership experience for a fulltime position. They are looking for someone with engineering leadership abilities to manage and lead projects. This is a contract to direct position.
You will be working with existing heavy industrial customers as well as taking an active role in the pursuit of work with new customers in the following industries:
General Heavy Manufacturing, Metals (ferrous and nonferrous) & Asphalt Equipment
Typical day will consist of working with customer on design and projects, working with other engineers by providing guidance for details, working with fabrication floor on fabrication of designs.
Job requirements:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in structural engineering.
Experience developing scopes, bids, and schedules for projects.
A mix of both field and design experience.
Experience supervising technicians working in manufacturing and in the field.
Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain one within reasonable amount of time.
Sound understanding of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
Must be flexible to work load and assignment plus posses a quick response time in order to compensate for the customers changing needs. Must be able to work in a team environment and work independently. Candidate must also be willing to travel.
