Our client, a large commercial construction company specializing in drywall and acoustical ceilings is actively seeking a Project Manager with 3-5 years experience. A candidate with extensive product knowledge in drywall is plus.
The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the complete and satisfactory execution of the entire project. The Project Manager is the company representative who deals with the outside world (owner, design professionals, vendors).
General duties of the Project Manager include:
Assisting in development of the project staff
Coordinating on-site with corporate office activities
Organizing and overseeing jobsite administration
Organizing and coordinating field supervision
Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Developing, monitoring, updating, and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions
Managing the direct labor force and maintaining labor relations
Managing subcontractor schedules, quality-of-work, coordination with other trades, and payments
Coordinating cost-progress targets with production
Creating and maintaining a safe/secure jobsite environment
Identifying and resolving all changes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with the Owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and police and fire departments
A four-year bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
3-5 years of experience
Experience in using project management systems
Excellent communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of construction legal issues and safety
Well organized and capable of running multiple jobs at a time
