Manage assigned projects from acquisition through entitlement approvals and, when necessary, the improvement of finished product for sale to ultimate purchasers.
  • Oversee the processing of entitlements through to the approvals necessary to position a project for ultimate sale.
  • Participate in the selection of the project development team. Establish project schedules and action lists for the processing of development applications.
  • Meet with proponents and opponents of the project to present the development plans to illicit their pros and cons on the project.
  • Negotiate consultant contracts and manage their scope of work contained in such contracts. Attend meetings with government officials and staffs to assist them in understanding the scope of the project being processed.
  • Prepare agendas for team meetings, presentations before approving entities and maintain a communication system amongst the development team members to streamline the entitlement process.
  • Assist the marketing team in the analysis and due diligence examination of prospective projects.
  • Assist the marketing department in the preparation of a master sales package as well as to serve as the project technical point of information for the benefit of the sales effort.QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
    Five plus years of residential land development experience for a land development or home building company.
    Four-year college degree.
    Must be detail oriented and self-motivated and able to assemble and manage a development team to maximize project yield both physically and profitably.
    Excellent computer skills with specific experience in MS applications such as Excel, Word and Publisher required. Microsoft Project, Argus and Lotus Notes are beneficial.
